I had heard so much about this Saachi tortilla maker that I wanted to get this, but for some reason the similar REVEL TORTILLA MAKER was much easily available to me and I bought that. I own REVEL for almost a month now, and I have no complaints from the product as I found here from some users. You just have to know the right technique for REVEL(which I am sure is required for SAACHI as well). 1)The Dough should be soft enough. 2)The product should be warm enough before you start making Tortillas/Rotis/Puris. 3) For people who are looking to buy it for making rotis, you need to use the flour for making balls just as it is required while making rotis the traditional way using rolling pin. 4)Place the ball at the back-center of the surface.

It cooks really fast...i would really recommend it..if you need tips on how to use it just email me..:)

by Tiffany Wilson, Tuesday 30 May, 2006 oh my god, all the praises below about this product are so true. saachi sa-1560 tortilla maker is perfect. the non-stick coated plates prevent any sort of sticking and heat evenly throughout. the temperature control lets you control the crispiness of your tortilla!!! highly recommended, especially at this price you can't go wrong with it.

They have great customer service and are such nice people. I have tried the pathetic villaware grand wrap brand 10 inch model as well as the horrible 8 inch REVEL brand, and i had nothing but problems. They stick and dont heat up well enough. The saachi is great, never had a problem, EVER!
