This is the cheapest region free player you can get, but it does its job. If you want just a region free dvd player and nothing else this will work. I have both the Philips region free dvd player, and this cyberhome, i personally would prefer the philips but if you dont want to spend over $50.00, it can't get any better than this. The only con is that it says it plays dvd-r and +r but it will only play few of them. It wont play all of my dvd+r's.
